Fig has put her undoubted expertise into a book that is now published by Laurence King, entitled How to create a Portfolio & Get Hired: A Guide for Graphic Designers and Illustrators. It discusses what to include in you folio and how to organise and display the work, and also advises on presentation techniques and self-promotion. Both print and virtual portfolios are covered.
Tips are included from commissioners and practitioners working in magazine and book publishing, design, advertising, TV/film and beyond, as well as agents and educators. For more information go here

Judging has taken place for the LTM/AOI Cycling in London competition this week. A whopping number of entries were received – over 1000, and these were whittled down to 50 for the exhibition at the Museum to be held 5 July to 22 August.Â
The Judges from Transport for London, Serco, LTM and AOI were impressed with the quality of the entries, and have selected the top three, who will receive cash prizes totaling £3750! The winners are under wraps until the Awards evening in early July.
Many thanks to all who entered, and congratulations to all those selected.
